Science and Religion
The human life is greatly
governed by two distinctive thought processes ‘emotion’ -not bound by logic, and
‘logic’ -not driven by emotion. Religion, being a belief system of the human
mind, is an emotional trait. Whereas, science deals with pure facts, and is
thus driven by the logical side of the mind.
However, in all the major
religious beliefs/holy books there are descriptions about the natural world
like- creation and the end of the world, many other natural phenomena, and
physical properties. These religious descriptions also sometimes apparently
conflict with scientific facts. After the discussions in terms of ‘belief
system’ and ‘logical system’, we will try to make a unison between the two
systems.
